Amber Harris was appointed as president of the West Tn chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) in the spring of 2020. She had recently served as the chapter’s Director of Training. Associated Builders and Contractors is a national U.S. trade association representing the non-union construction industry. ABC is an association of 69 chapters with more than 22,000 commercial contractors and construction-related firms among its members.
She received her degree in Marketing from the University of Memphis. Amber is a very busy mother of six children who are active in competitive sports. Soon after assuming her new role, the Coronavirus hit our nation but she and her team have been a huge resource for the industry by providing information and resources to help them navigate this situation. Under her leadership, the local chapter hosts many networking events such as Golf and Clay tournaments, monthly luncheons and several industry committees. They also serve the community with workforce development programs. These are especially important in the local high schools.
Amber’s vision for this chapter is to maximize the things already in place by being an extension to every members’ office. She and her team are totally dedicated to serving the membership by providing opportunities for training, networking and growing their businesses.
